Silk was born in Fredericton at New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk was a well-known actor, director and producer who also taught in St. Thomas University. Her parents were Peter an academic with a reputation for excellence. Anna remembers certain memories she had as a child, including watching her mom work at play rehearsals. Silk was featured in many commercials as just a child. She earned a Bachelors in Arts from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two shows in its beginning: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk started her career in acting by moving to Toronto the Canadian city of Toronto in November of 1999. Then she moved from Toronto to Los Angeles for the remainder of the decade. Seth Cooperman became her husband in 2007, when they met during an Actorsworkshop located in Los Angeles. The couple was wed in a civil ceremony in December of 2009. In Fredericton on the 10th April of 2011, after her decision to convert to Judaism the couple renewed their vows at a Jewish marriage ceremony.
