Luciana Paoluzzi grew up in Rome together with her mother and father. Luciana Paoluzzi's father is an Italian Army officer. Maria Rota Paoluzzi's mother is a former mistress with Benito Mussolini. There's no evidence of her having siblings. She was in a local high school. Upon entering the college in 1955, she pursued naval engineering at the Scientific Academy of Milan - Luciana was the only female in her class. Then, after two more years of modeling, she was offered the role of Three Coins in the Fountain. It was her first role. Brett Halsey, an actor himself, was her very first husband. In the years following their marriage they produced a film together called Return to the Peyton Palace. The couple had one son, named Charles born on 13 June 1961, but they divorced one year after the birth of Charles and Luciana received custody. Luciana was in a relationship with Tony Athony between 1962 between 1962 and 1970. He was an actor and producer who was influenced by her character to write and direct this Spaghetti Western hybrid based on the character she played in the movie Green Slime.
