Cecily strong
Cecily Legler Strong, an American stand-up comic and actor is known for her performance as a cast member on the show 'Saturday night Live.' Her career began in theatre, but she was attracted to comedy after she took an improv class at the age of nine years old. She was hoping to build acting a living, but soon figured out her passion was comedy, and shifted her attention to improv performances. Her career began on a cruise ship, playing with fellow members of Second City Conservatory & iO Chicago. Strong was able to continue performing at popular events such as Chicago Sketch Fest, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New York Sketchfest as well as Virgin Daiquiri, the all-female improv troupe. The actress became a household name in 2012 after she appeared on "Saturday Night Live" in Season 39 as a guest cast member as a co-anchor on Weekend Update with Seth Meyers in the beginning, and Colin Jost later. The character of Cecily from the show "The Girls You'd Like to Not Engage in Conversations with in a Party" was the most reminscent scene from her show. That same year, she debuted in film in the film 'How to Sponsor a Uterus. The actress spoke out about how women are treated as bikini models or girlfriends in movies made by Hollywood, as opposed to strong female characters.
